The man most directly responsible for this twaddle was Andy Gibson, who did
thus comment on Re: Nasty AMOS article in Amiga Format on the night of
01-Oct-97:
-> But your idea is a good one and I think all the List guyz should
-> create a small GUI example and someone could send 'em all to Amiga
-> Format at once :)
When I finish off my demo, I will definately be sending it in!
-> In fact, it might be better if they were all sent individually to show
-> AF how pissed off Amos users are when we read such crap about our
-> favourite language.
-> If AF think Amos is so crap, why on Earth did they see fit to give
-> away a coverdisk version all those months ago? And why oh why did they
-> used to praise it to the high heavens and include source code on past
-> cover disks etc...?
-> Contradicting themselves methinx :)
-> Anyway, AF is turning out to be a real shitty mag! CU is much better
-> (as far as the CD's go anyway)
Yeah, they just have no clue. Like for instance, Starboy (which is the game of
the issue on the floppy disks) was written in Classic AMOS, so they are
burning
their own britches slightly here.
